Tolle Villa!

We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful house.

The owner Dubravko lives downstairs and is very friendly and helpful, and whilst he is around, he doesn’t intrude. Instead, he was always around to sell his homemade wine which was better than the other wine we tasted at local vineyards.

The house is very comfortable and suits large groups as you have your own space but can come together in the communal areas and, mainly, the pool. And what a view – I’m desperately missing this already.

It’s a walk down some steps into town where you can catch a boat to all the places you might want to go nearby.

Don’t hesitate – this place is a gem

The house, pool, barbeque and neighbouring sports facilities were excellent and met all our expectations. The location is in quiet, mountainous countryside with opportunity for country walks and bike rides. There were many swallows, bats in the evenings, huge butterflies, and scent of wild flowers and herbs around. In addition to using the pools, we played tennis, football and mini-golf daily. The host was very responsive in dealing with some minor glitches (aircon trouble, some ants), which were resolved quickly. You will need a car to stay here. The downside of the location is that the nearest shops are a 15 minute drive away, and if you want to visit tourist attractions, such as the Blue Lake at Imotski, the coast, or wineries, then it is a bit further. If you are happy to drive and explore the countryside, this is the perfect base for a relaxing break.
