Firstly, you’re positioned just a few kilometers away from the breathtaking Adriatic Sea. Wooden boardwalks take you through an area called Savudrija, where you can visit the oldest operating lighthouse on the Adriatic. The beach is quite rocky but stunningly beautiful. Don’t forget to pack a picnic, and head to one of the local beaches such as Kanegra Beach, famous for its turquoise waters and white pebbles.

You’ll also find quite a few local vineyards and olive groves that offer amazing wine tasting and farm-to-table dining experiences. Valica is located in the Istrian region, well-known for its wines, so wine lovers should also visit the Kozlovic and Kabola wineries.

For the adventurous souls, there are quite a few cycling and hiking spots in the nearby protected natural area, Park Forest Šijana. It’s a good place to jog, bike, or walk.
